Mother diagnosed with multiple myeloma finds joy in the opportunity to give back
MINNEAPOLIS (September 20, 2010)— For Stacy, a mother of two and diagnosed with multiple myeloma in 2008, the opportunity to serve as a model in the Angels and Divas fashion show on October 7, 2010 means the chance to return the kindness she has graciously received. Stacy and her two daughters have received free education and support from Angel Foundation. Angels and Divas: Making a Difference with…Style, is a girls’ night out to benefit Angel Foundation, a local nonprofit dedicated to providing help when cancer strikes.
“I am really proud to be able to give back to Angel foundation,” says Stacy. “Our family has gained so much by participating over the last 3 years. It feels great to have enough health to be able to contribute and to celebrate being a strong beautiful woman in a fun fashion show.”
Angels and Divas will begin at the historic Saint Paul Hotel at 6 pm with a social hour, followed by a fashion show featuring the latest style trends from local designers/consultants:
- HammerMade Men’s Fashions (Edina) http://www.hammer-made.com/press/
- La Rue Marche Women’s Vintage Clothes (Hudson) http://www.laruemarche.com/
- Zelaz Teens and Tweens Fashions http://zelaz.com/
- Fashion Consultant Christina Kochendorfer
Many designs will be modeled by cancer survivors, some of whom have received assistance from Angel Foundation.
Following the show, JoAnn Hopkins, wardrobe consultant at ReVamp Salon in Uptown Minneapolis will unveil her secrets to achieving the perfect fit.
