MINNEAPOLIS (December 1, 2010)— Angel Foundation, a local nonprofit serving adults with cancer and their families, has named Vicki Stute as its new executive director.
Stute’s professional career spans nearly 20 years of executive leadership with four chambers of commerce and various non-profit organizations. In 2007, she co-founded a professional services management company providing specialized consultation to small businesses and associations in the areas of strategic planning, operations and financial management, organizational growth and change, resource development, leadership training and development, issue management, and marketing and communications.
With a proven track record of success in organizational development, Stute will lead Angel Foundation in enhancing program development to serve more families facing a cancer diagnosis. During her career, she has driven strong performance through vision, innovation, creativity and change, as well as through her passion for quality service focused on mission-based results.
“I am very excited that Vicki is joining our Angel Foundation team,” says Margie Sborov, founder and board president of Angel Foundation. “We are confident Vicki will be a strong leader as we expand our programs and services to the cancer community and enhance our relationships and donor base.”
After losing her mother to cancer and witnessing the effects of the illness on many of her friends and family members, Stute understands the needs of those Angel Foundation serves. She is eager to leverage her non-profit and business expertise to positively impact those living with cancer.
“I am thankful for the opportunity to lead this incredible organization of dedicated staff, volunteers, and donors,” says Stute. “Through continued growth and innovation over the next few years, Angel Foundation will be poised to provide renewed hope and support to more families facing cancer.”

About Angel Foundation
Through financial assistance, education, and support, Angel Foundation helps adults with cancer and their families so that they may live life well with stability, strength and resilience.
Angel Foundation provides emergency financial assistance to adults facing cancer in the seven-county metro area of the Twin Cities to meet critical nonmedical needs such as mortgage or rent payments, food, utilities and transportation costs. Such assistance helps families re-gain a level of control over their lives. In addition, emergency funds ease the financial burden and worry of program recipients allowing them to reserve more of their energy for self care.
Angel Foundation also offers free education and support through its Facing Cancer Together programs to families who have a parent with cancer. Facing Cancer Together helps families gain understanding and hope as they face the challenges of cancer together.
