Angel Foundation Recognizes National Cancer Survivors Day® By Partnering with Minnesota Lynx to host Cancer Survivor Night

MINNEAPOLIS (May 26, 2010)— For those who have faced cancer, moments spent with friends and family are highly valued, appreciated and worthy of celebration. In acknowledgement of National Cancer Survivors Day® on June 6, Angel Foundation will partner with the Minnesota Lynx to host Cancer Survivor Night at the Target Center at 5:15 pm.

Cancer survivors will be honored at a celebration prior to the 6 pm game and will have the opportunity to stay after the game for a discussion with Rashanda McCants, a Minnesota Lynx player and the daughter of a breast cancer survivor.

The event will also include a silent auction, the chance to learn more about Angel Foundation volunteer opportunities, and a check presentation to Angel Foundation of funds raised.

Media are invited to attend the event. Angel Foundation Founder Margie Sborov is available for interviews upon request. To schedule an interview, contact Brittany Smith at 952.215.7429 or smithbc05@gmail.com, or Deborah Erickson at 612.627.9000 ext. 506.
