Education and Support Series

Parents, caregivers and children meet together in peer groups to participate in age appropriate activities to help them manage the cancer in their family.

In adult groups, parenting skills are reviewed and parents learn how to communicate with their children in an age appropriate way, helping them lead their families through the cancer experience and beyond.

Special programs help children 5-18 to develop the necessary life skills to confront and manage the daily fear, stress and uncertainty that comes from living with a parent or grandparent with cancer.
