Welcome to my first blog posting. This new blog will be a way for me to provide you with new happenings about the foundation. 

How many families have a parent with cancer?

 A recent  American Cancer Society study on parental cancer brought much needed awareness of a large, underserved population—parents facing a cancer diagnosis while raising young children. An estimated 18.3% of adults recently diagnosed with cancer have minor children in their household—potentially affecting approximately 2.85 million US children younger than 18 years of age. Kids Kamp 2010: “I’ve never been here before, but I definitely want to come back.”

FaCT: Tom Petty Concert for Families

 

One of the many services Angel provides through the FaCT program is opportunities for the families we work with to spend time with other families going through the same cancer challenges.  Recently, FaCT brought a group to a Tom Petty concert, where almost 30 adults and teens filled two suites generously donated through The Wild. Angel's Attic Begins Tomorrow!

Don't forget!  Angel's Attic begins tomorrow, with 35,000 square feet brimming with antiques, collectibles, and practical household items.

Who: All proceeds to benefit Angel Foundation

When: June 26-29, 10am-6pm

How much: $3 on Saturday, free Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday.  All items are half price on Tuesday.

Where: 1820 Quentin Ave South, St. Louis Park, MN
